Dear Bloggers and friends,

Oh it has been more than a month! I know I am such a bad blogger. Things has been amazingly busy in December. As you saw in my previous message, I participated to a market every week-end. I had many online orders. Then I spend two weeks in Kenya over the Holidays. My trip was amazing and I came back with many new ideas.

Now I am back in Berlin. Things have been slowing down, which is good because I am working for the Berlinale, one of greatest Film Festival in the world! It is nice to work in an office with other people and be part of this big event. I will post a few pictures during the Festival.

Here a re few pictures of my latest photo shooting with my friend and model Stine! It was so cold outside but she still put a short sleeves dress for me.

Les p'tites fleurs de Paris

There is it! My new summer collection 2011. It's called "Les p'tites fleurs de Paris". I really got inspired by Paris and the 50's for this one. All the material also comes from Paris. I had so much fun. I wanted something fresh, colourfull and light. I hope you like it.

mon bibi at Schloss Bückeburg

From 23rd until 26th of June mon bibi will be in Bückeburg where a wonderful "Landpartie" ("partie de campagne" as we say in French and I could only find the word "outing" in English) with the theme "Rock n' Roll & Petticoat". The Bückeburg Castle is a wonderful location. The is a "Landpartie" twice a year, the other one beeing around Christmas.

Today's photo shooting

Today was the photo shooting for my mini summer collection. My friends Anette and Deidre were the make up artists, designers AND models. Who could ask for more? The official pictures are not ready yet, but here are some teasers.

Last week I was not feeling too well. To suprise me my friend Biri bought a huge lot of small handmade hats!!!

They are perfect for Teddy.

But they do fit very well on Fritz too!

Bohème Sauvage No 45

Two pictures taken from a beautiful girl wearing one of my bibis at the last Edition of Boheme Sauvage, Berlin's monthly party of the 1920's. Everyone there dresses with Chapeaux claques, boas and cocktail dresses.

I went there twice. It was so fun! I hope to go again soon.

mon bibi inteviewed by Radio-Canada

This is the video showing me in my workshop. A canadian team came and asked me questions about my work. They had also ordered a hat inspired by classical music.

Hat inspired by classical music!

This morning a production team came shotting in my workshop for a canadian website about classical music (http://www.radio-canada.ca/espace_musique/webRadioClassique.asp). They asked me a lot of question about my work, my inspiration and of course my life in Berlin. They have ordered a hat for a young canadian conductor, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who will conduct the Berliner Philarmormie three nights this week. The hat had to be inspired by classical music.

cleaning...dusting...decorating...

I just finished cleaning my little workshop. Once a year I look at what I have, replace everything in a better place. Soon enough it will get chaotic again. I know me!

I have put some of my hat collection on the wall. Anette, a friend of mine inspired me this idea.

Leanne in Autunm - Leanne en Automne

Here are a couple of hats I did in the last few days or weeks. Autunm is here in Berlin but it doesn't stop me from wanting to use colours and beeing inspired by them!

Working on my website!

I have been wanting a website for a year. But I didn't know if it was the time or not. Since I am new in the business, I didn't know if it was worth investing so early. Now I know it is the next step.  Critina, Elena and Brigitte (the programmer they work with) are working together for making the website as nice as possible. I came with the first ideas and they did a lot of brain storming and sent lots of examples!

Here a couple of them.


This was one of our our many ideas to use old models and put a bibi on them. But either the girls were not what I was looking for, or we couldn't use the image because of the copyright. I wish I could have just put Louise Brooks everywhere!

Cristina and Elena also suggested silly things. I just love this one!

Finally, the homepage is going to look like something like this. I love how the girl looks like a picture taken from a magazine from the 20's. We don't see that anymore! I love it!

These two Spanish girls just did a wonderful job. If you need some inspired graphic designers, they are the best!

Bibis on the beach

Hey!

It has been a long time since I have written on my blog. It was Wedding Dress and then I had a couple of days only to get prepared to go back home. I am now in Quebec for more than a month and I am enjoying my time spend here with my family and friends so much. Still, I will be back in Berlin on the 26th. Looking forward to see my husband and cat.

Here are a couple of pictures my mother took of my newest hats last week. The 2 models are my pretty cousins. We had lots of fun!
